I was one of the 5 committee members that organised the seventh edition of Create Tomorrow on the 3rd of May 2017, which was a big success.

Create Tomorrow is the world's largest competitive student think tank, organised every 2 years by a committee as part of the Student Union at the University of Twente. During this event, more than 1000 students from various Dutch universities work in teams on one of the cases provided by local, national and international organisations While working on solving real-world cases, the students are supported by professional consultants and there is high quality entertainment by famous Dutch artists. At the end of the day, students present their solutions and the best team wins a prize of €4000. Create Tomorrow brings students and companies together in a unique and creative setting.

As officer for external affairs and ICT, my task was to find companies that wanted to participate in the event (either with a case, as a consultant or sponsor) and make sure the website and all activities around it run smoothly. I also assisted the PR officers with improving the design of promotion material and logo's. Besides learning about customer acquisition, sponsoring, negotiation and website maintenance, I gained a lot of experience in working closely together in a multidisciplinary team, including communication, conflict management, and organisational skills. This unforgettable year boosted my professional as well as my personal development to a great extent.

I also created promotion material and a travel guide for the participants. The study tour with 23 participants took place in October 2016 with as destination London. Methods

Literature study, qualitative research, Adobe Premiere Pro

In July 2014, I participated in the first study trip of study association Proto. Together with 22 other students and 2 teachers, I visited 21 companies, institutions and organisations in Silicon Valley and other parts at the west coast of the USA (San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego). During these 3 truly amazing weeks, we conducted research on different topics related to the Information Revolution. The research project Rubina Oliana and I worked on was about the use of technology in education. You can find our article here.

Another task I was assigned was to make an official aftermovie summarizing the 3 weeks. You can watch it above.
